Working with Marriott Marble Arch, we donated 200 towels to The Passage, a charity which runs the UK’s largest resource centre for homeless and insecurely housed people, providing hot meals, laundry and healthcare services and social activities for up to 150 people a day, as well as three accommodation projects, community intervention work and a number of homelessness prevention schemes.

Emily Richmond, The Passage corporate partnerships manager, said: “I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributed to the towel donation, this really will make a huge difference to our Resource Centre and accommodation project clients. Thank you for all coming together as you did today.”

A further 300 towels were donated to charity Providence Row in partnership with Andaz London Liverpool Street, to support their work in tackling the root causes of homelessness through trainee schemes, language classes and employment support, as well as offering the homeless community the chance to shower at their centre daily.

Rob Peters, Site Director at CLEAN’s Slough Laundry said: "When we heard about these two charities both requiring towels to help homeless and vulnerable people, we were keen to help by donating some of our surplus towels. Being able to have a hot shower and dry yourself afterwards is such a simple thing, but can make the biggest difference to someone without a home, and if we can help provide this basic service we are more than happy to help.”
