As a Delivery Driver, you’ll be the welcoming face of our business – the helpful driver who delivers a unique blend of CLEAN Linen & Workwear quality with outstanding service right to our customers’ doors. You’ll get to drive one of our modern fleet of vehicles, servicing hotels, holiday parks, serviced accommodation, engineering, manufacturing, and industrial customers. Transferring clean and used textiles to and from our customers and our laundry sites, you’ll be an integral part of our industry leading team.

Within this role you will need to:

Complete customer deliveries in line with CLEAN’s high standards

Always operate your vehicle in a safe, legal, and economical manner

Carry out daily vehicle checks accurately and follow correct defect procedures

Qualities you need and what the work involves

You’ll become a brand ambassador and represent us out on the road and with every single customer you meet, so you should have the highest levels of customer service. Energy and friendliness are essential in this role, we’ll expect you to have a “can do” attitude and always deliver the service with a smile.

Linen Deliveries

You will be delivering and collecting laundry hamper bags and cages from hotels, serviced accommodation, or holiday parks. We operate a modern fleet of DAF and Iveco box tail lift vehicles ranging from 7.2 to 18 tonne.

Workwear Deliveries

You will be responsible for packing your vehicle, delivering, and collecting bags of garments from customers. The customers can be restaurants and hotels, small businesses on industrial estates, large factories, or auto garages. Ultimately, we supply any business that provides their employees with uniforms. Depending on requirements workwear delivery drivers also distribute workwear garments directly to employee lockers at a customer’s premises as well as lifting and laying floor protection mats. We operate a modern fleet of Mercedes Sprinter long wheel base vans.

Leigh’s Story

From Delivery Driver to Transport Manager (Interim)

Leigh joined CLEAN as a Delivery Driver in 2015. Since then, his career has gone from strength to strength his first managerial role was as Transport Team Leader at our Yeovil Laundry. Since that appointment Leigh has progressed to Interim Transport Manager. Here Leigh tells his story explaining what his role involves day-to-day, what it’s like to work for CLEAN and how his career has progressed so far.

Sean’s Story

From a Van Driver to Senior Driver and Driving Assessor

Sean joined CLEAN as a Van Delivery Driver in 2016. After joining CLEAN he qualified firstly as a Category 2 HGV driver and then passed his C+E test allowing him to drive any large goods vehicle with a trailer up to a combined weight of 44 tonnes. Since then, Sean has progressed to become a Senior Driver and Driving Assessor. Here Sean tells his story, he explains what is involved day-to-day in his role at CLEAN and how the company have helped him realise his potential.

Kevin’s Story

From Loading Vehicles to Transport Supervisor

Having been a delivery driver in the past Kevin wanted to take a break from being on the road. He first joined CLEAN as a Loader in the Transport Department. After helping the transport team overcome a small crisis one Saturday, Head of Transport Peter Cox explains that Kevin was encouraged to progress his career within the company and becoming a Transport Team Leader. Here Kevin tells his own story, describes how his career path opened for him, what he does day-to-day in his role at CLEAN and explains that with the right aptitude the company can help people realise their potential.

Our Driver Academy has been carefully designed to equip new and existing drivers with all the skills they need to ensure safe and aware driving practices in line with guidelines set out by the DVSA and Company Health & Safety policies and practices. Successful applicants can gain a LGV C (Class 2) licence and employment as a professional LGV driver delivering laundry to hotels, holiday parks and industrial businesses throughout England and Wales.
