Strategic Laundry Sites
Our History
CLEAN was founded in 1886 under the name of Maidenhead and District Laundry Company by the Rodgers family. Since then, CLEAN has going through many milestone to become a leading laundry service in the UK.
During the First and Second World Wars, CLEAN plays a crucial role by supplying linen to the Ministry of Defence.
CLEAN establishes strategic relationships, including with Honda in Swindon, providing uniforms to 4,000 people.
The Banbury Laundry site is opened.
CLEAN is awarded a prestigious Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth II.
Private Equity investment sets the stage for growth through acquisition.
CLEAN expands its reach through the acquisition of Watford Laundry and Paragon, enhancing its geographic coverage.
A significant milestone is achieved as CLEAN opens a world-class super laundry plant in Slough, Berkshire.
£3 million is invested in the Yeovil site, effectively doubling its capacity.
In a landmark move, Alsco, one of the world’s largest textile rental and laundry companies, acquires CLEAN Linen & Workwear, further fortifying its international presence with a strategic focus on the UK market.
