CLEAN is awarded its eighth consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal Award for maintaining high standards in health and safety.
The prestigious annual scheme, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognises organisations that can demonstrate well-developed occupational health and safety management systems, a culture that is aware of and able to identify potential hazards, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
Matt De La Bertauche, Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment at CLEAN said: “I’m incredibly proud of CLEAN’s latest achievement in gaining a RoSPA Gold Medal for the eighth consecutive year in a row. This is a real testament to the talented individuals we have working across the CLEAN laundries.
“At CLEAN safety isn’t just an additional element to our roles but something that is ingrained in everything we do. I feel very privileged to work alongside a team so dedicated to safe operations and to creating a secure environment for their colleagues.”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic CLEAN has continued to serve both workwear customers and hospitality customers that remained open to provide accommodation to key workers. Since lockdown restrictions have eased and hospitality businesses have reopened, CLEAN has been supporting its customers in getting ready to open their doors, while adapting its service to new safety and housekeeping procedures.
To ensure the safety of its workforce and customers, CLEAN has developed and implemented a range of COVID-secure measures to enable the company to deliver the high-quality service CLEAN is renowned for in a safe manner. Measures include thermally and chemically disinfecting linen, towels and garments during washing, socially distanced delivery processes, sterilisation of laundry cages, vehicle interiors and loading areas before any clean textiles products are loaded and an increase in the level of PPE worn by production operatives and drivers.
