We are delighted to reveal that we have invested more than £2.5million into our Yeovil site as part of the latest developments in our dedicated investment programme – creating 90 additional jobs as part of our ongoing growth plans.
Working closely with the globally-recgonised laundry machinery manufacturer Kannegiesser to significantly reduce our energy consumption, CLEAN has implemented new efficiencies to further enhance the operational performance at our Somerset-based facility.
The introduction of the latest machinery, which features eco-powered dryers, has achieved an energy saving of at least 18%, with 90% of the previously lost air now being re-circulated during the drying process. The investment has also seen a new monorail system installed at our Yeovil site, increasing capacity within the building by around 30%.
As a result of the newly-installed monorail system, our expanding capabilities has allowed the Yeovil site to efficiently manage the growing demand for our service, as we continue to serve the South West of England with superior laundry and linen solutions.
While we continue to promote the sustainable development of the commercial laundry industry, the growing benefits of our investment programme has been well-recognised by the local community, as CLEAN continue to create new jobs in the areas surrounding our Yeovil operation. As part of the sites development we’ll be employing 65 additional production operatives, a production manager, two production operatives, 17 new drivers as well as five more engineers.
CLEAN is proud to be considered one of the most modern industrial laundries in the world as we continue to build on our core values of everyday excellence. From the latest investment into the Yeovil facility we’re now able to produce and deliver more than 130,000 workwear items and five million linen items to our customers each week.
