CLEAN achieves PRIM Bronze Award

Posted on Aug 27, 2020

Leading laundry supplier CLEAN has secured a PRIM Bronze Award by the Proactive Risk Intervention Management (PRIM) Fleet Standards.

The road safety accreditation scheme, which is designed by industry experts, operators, former Met road policing developers, road risk providers and driver behaviour specialists, offers a framework to acknowledge and support all types and sizes of fleets in the UK.

The PRIM framework champions businesses who exceed the minimum legal standards for operating a fleet, which requires consistency, robust processes, positive engagement, innovation and a proactive disposition.

Health and safety has always been of paramount importance across all areas of CLEAN’s operations, including its transport department that plays a crucial role in ensuring that its customers have a continual and timely supply of fresh linen and workwear.

Peter Cox, Senior Transport Manager at CLEAN , said: “Our dedicated transport teams continually strive for methods of continuous improvement in all areas of our operation and are totally committed to delivering outstanding initiatives in Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR). PRIM allows us to benchmark our standards against all seven CLEAN sites as well as the wider logistics community.”

He added: “It became clear at the end of the audit that we were in a strong position to attain the next levels of accreditation, and plans are already in place to do just that. We are delighted to have received the accreditation award which will further motivate the transport teams across all of our seven sites to continue delivering on CLEAN’s world-class safety standards.”

This latest award win comes hot on the heels of CLEAN’s Gold RoSPA win and the Slough Laundry’s RoSPA Silver Fleet Safety Award.
